Intertexuality

Intertextuality is when films 'borrow' ideas from other films by doing things such as taking ideas from an iconic moment in another film. For example in Psycho the shower scene , has been interpreted in many other films such as:

• What Lies Beneath
• Fatal Attraction
• The Stepfather
